Responsibilities
Elena-Alexandra Miron is a Romanian climate and energy policy researcher focused on building decarbonisation, clean heating, and climate and energy diplomacy in Central and Eastern Europe. She is an Associate at Energy Policy Group in the Buildings, Cities, and Clean Economy team.
Previously, she has worked in government as Director of Cabinet to a State Secretary at the Ministry of Investments and European Projects and contributed to the establishment of Romania’s M100 Mirror Mission Cities Hub.
She founded the Youth Platform for Sustainability, which she leads, and coordinated Romania’s first Local Conference of Youth (LCOY, YOUNGO/UNFCCC), contributing to the country’s first Youth Declaration on Climate Change and Youth Climate Action Plan. Elena-Alexandra has represented Romanian youth at COP27–COP30 and is a European Climate Pact Ambassador, a Clean Air Task Force CEE Fellow, a Regional Organiser with The Climate Reality Project Europe (CEE), and an author at Infoclima Romania. She is also a part of the Future Generation Council, a board of youth employees and external members developed by Veolia.
