Citizen's panels for a just green transition in Bulgaria

The project "Public Capacity for a Just Green Transition" is being implemented by a scientific team from the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences for the period November 2021 – October 2025. It is funded by the National Research Fund at the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Bulgaria under contract number КП-06 Н55/13.

Within the framework of the project, various surveys have already been conducted, including a nationally representative survey, in-depth interviews with experts, and focus group discussions. Further information about the project is available on the website: https://zelenprehod.blogspot.com/

Upcoming citizen panels will take place in the three regions that have adopted territorial plans: the city of Kyustendil, the city of Pernik, and the city of Stara Zagora. During these panels, discussions will be held with representatives of various stakeholders on how to ensure a fair approach to social change, how to enhance citizen participation, and how to align social and environmental objectives.
