Description
The session will focus on the concept of integrated energy infrastructure planning as a cornerstone for achieving Europe’s sustainable energy goals. With the increasing interdependence of electricity, hydrogen, and gas networks, the rise of variable renewable energy, and the urgency of decarbonisation, aligning planning processes across sectors is essential for infrastructure optimisation and increased efficiency. This workshop will bring together representatives from the European institutions, such as ACER, ENNOH, ENTSO-E, and the European Commission, as well as representatives from industry and energy distribution infrastructures, to discuss how integrated planning can be effectively implemented and what is needed to bridge existing gaps.
