Description
The Climate Quest 'Let's Act Together!' is an interactive event that takes place as part of the European Sustainable Energy Week (UESEW) as part of the Covenant of Mayors initiative. The goal of the quest is to activate the environmental awareness of students and encourage them to take action to combat climate change and promote sustainable community development.
The event is based on the principles of the Sustainable Energy and Climate Action Plan (SECAP), which is a strategic framework for improving energy efficiency, reducing greenhouse gas emissions and adapting to climate change. The quest demonstrates the practical implementation of this plan at the local level, engaging young people in shaping a sustainable future.
Objectives of the event:
To draw the attention of young people to the problem of climate change and energy challenges;
To introduce simple but effective solutions for everyday life;
To increase interest in environmental education and sustainable lifestyles;
To emphasise the importance of climate literacy for the green and sustainable reconstruction of Ukraine;
To promote responsible citizenship and active participation in joint actions for the future of the planet.
The quest takes the form of a team game with creative tasks that stimulate critical thinking, cooperation, and environmental initiative. It is not only an educational, but also an inspiring experience that motivates young people to be agents of change in their community.
