Responsibilities
James Woodhouse is a solicitor in the Energy and Infrastructure Group at Matheson LLP, based in Dublin, Ireland. His practice covers a broad spectrum of legal areas, including project development and construction, project finance, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and energy regulation, with a strong emphasis on the clean energy sector.
He advises clients across a wide range of power and renewable energy projects – including solar, battery storage, hydrogen, thermal generation, and onshore and offshore wind – with experience advising throughout the full project lifecycle.
Prior to joining Matheson, James trained in-house with SSE plc and has completed two client secondments, providing him with valuable commercial insight into the energy sector. He is passionate about the energy transition and the evolving legal and policy frameworks driving it.
