The European Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) returns on 20-22 June 2023, with plenty of opportunities for individuals and associations across Europe to contribute. This year’s event, under the theme ‘Accelerating the clean energy transition - towards lower bills and greater skills’, will once again take a hybrid format, with both participants and speakers attending online and onsite in Brussels.

Whether you want to take an active role in shaping policy discussions, shine a light on a project you are working on, celebrate work in renewable energy at the Awards, or form new connections within the sustainable energy community, EUSEW 2023 has something for you.

Policy sessions at the hybrid event will bring together voices from the frontline of Europe’s energy transition to debate and discuss policy priorities, goals and next steps around the theme of ‘Accelerating the clean energy transition - towards lower bills and greater skills’.

Who? Policymakers within public institutions, organisations and associations working in the field of sustainable energy and renewables, as well as those acting as multipliers with a widespread network of contacts across Europe, can apply for the call to organise a policy session.

When? The call is now closed. Applicants can expect to be informed about whether their session has been accepted by the end of March.

2. MEET THE CLEAN ENERGY COMMUNITY: HOST A STAND AT THE ENERGY FAIR

The Energy Fair is designed to foster connections and introduce you to people who share your commitment and enthusiasm for making the clean energy transition a success. A physical stand at the Energy Fair allows you to showcase your project, organisation or initiative and to engage with attendees onsite in Brussels.

Who? The Energy Fair is an ideal fit for R&I organisations, NGOs, SMEs, and representatives from EU-funded projects contributing to the development of sustainable energy policy in Europe.

When? The call is accepting applications from 22 November 2022 to 2 March 2023.

3. CELEBRATE CLEAN ENERGY PIONEERS: APPLY FOR THE EUSEW AWARDS OR NOMINATE A CANDIDATE

The EUSEW community would not be what it is today without the inspiring individuals sparking concrete and ambitious changes across the continent. This year’s Award categories celebrate inspiring innovators, women, and local actors who are making a real difference. If you are working on a project or initiative worth highlighting or know someone else who is, the EUSEW Awards are for you!

Who? Award winners in previous editions of EUSEW have been organisations, consortiums, entrepreneurs, campaigners, researchers, politicians, and industry representatives leading great initiatives in the energy field.

Note that the Awards categories each have their own eligibility criteria, so make sure you check the guidelines when they are published.

When? The call is now closed. Applicants can expect to be informed about whether they are a finalist by the end of March.
