As EUSEW 2025 was a co-created space, we took pride in making sure that you had fresh photos online before the day’s end. But we know that finding your way through this abundance of incredible photography may be challenging. Here is our step-by-step guide.
The European Sustainable Energy Week 2025 has come to an end, and what a week it was. Whether you joined us in Brussels or followed online, take a moment to scroll through this blog and experience the highlights that made EUSEW 2025 unforgettable. This is also your opportunity to go backstage and see how the organising team prepared the event. Revisit those moments through our series of photo albums that capture the energy of the week: the high-level exchanges, the bold visions, and all the people behind them. We do believe that photos tell the story best.
Day 1: 10 June - Opening & Debate with the Ambassadors
EUSEW 2025 opened with high-level exchanges and insights from a strong lineup of speakers, including Dan Jørgensen, Commissioner for Energy and Housing, Krzysztof Bolesta, Secretary of State at the Polish Ministry of Climate and Environment, Tsvetelina Penkova, Member of the European Parliament, Andrius Grigonis, Deputy Mayor of Vilnius, and Markus J. Beyrer, Director General of BusinessEurope.
From the first session to the Debate with the Ambassadors, the message was clear: Europe’s energy transition must be ambitious, inclusive, and fast.
Day 1: 10 June, EUSEW Awards 2025
One of the most awaited moments of EUSEW, the Awards Ceremony, recognised the individuals and initiatives driving real progress in clean energy. This year’s winners in Innovation, Local Energy Action, and Woman in Energy showcased just how broad and bold the clean energy movement is becoming. Take a look at EUSEW Awards 2025 winners’ and finalists’ excitement.
Day 1: June 10, afternoon sessions
From strategic goals to practical action, this day’s programme focused on decarbonising buildings and industry, scaling clean technologies, and modernising energy systems. Topics included hydrogen, biomethane, AI, industrial renovation, financing the energy transition, and much more.
Day 2: 11 June, morning sessions
What does an inclusive energy transition look like in practice? The morning sessions of the second day explored not only that. Young Energy Ambassadors critically examined the promises of net-zero energy and green design in European cities during their session ‘Net-zero or net-hype? Rethinking European cities’. Speakers also looked at how innovation, including AI and fusion energy, can help make energy not just cleaner, but fairer and more accessible. See the conversations and exchanges that brought these ideas to life.
Day 2: 11 June, afternoon sessions
Talks about energy efficiency took centre stage in the afternoon, showing its potential to boost both climate resilience and economic competitiveness. Cities, regions, and institutions shared how they are working together to deliver real impact, supported by strong policies and practical tools. Take a look at the photos to see how these discussions felt.
Day 3: 12 June, morning sessions
The final day put renewables at the centre of this year’s conversation. From hydrogen to biomethane and AI integration, this album offers a glimpse into how ambition is turning into action.
Day 3: 12 June, afternoon & closing
Discussions shifted to inclusive planning and the role of local communities in driving the energy transition. From empowering rural communities to transforming urban infrastructure, see how Europe is building a people-first energy future.
