What to expect from the EUSEW 2022 Energy Talks

ET News Image

Are you familiar with vehicle-to-grid energy storage, the decarbonisation playbook, or Zero Emission Neighbourhoods? The Energy Talks at this year’s European Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) are the perfect opportunity to find out how initiatives like this are boosting Europe’s energy transition. These short and interactive sessions will take place onsite only on 27-29 September and offer a glimpse of innovative solutions and projects.

Here is a taster of what is planned for the sessions this year.

INTERACTIVITY

Unlike the rest of this year’s hybrid edition of EUSEW, these short sessions will only be taking place onsite in Brussels. This means additional emphasis will be placed on engaging with the audience, so make sure you come prepared to ask questions to the speakers, give them feedback on their projects and share your ideas.

CURIOSITY

These ‘pills of knowledge' are designed to leave you wanting to learn more. With each Energy Talk lasting just 15 minutes, they will give a short taste of a very specific subject, such as the ‘housing-first’ principle, or hydrogen diplomacy, leaving the path open for you to follow up and find out more about the topics that piqued your interest.

ORIGINALITY

Creative solutions to boost Europe’s energy transition are a core feature of the EUSEW Energy Talks. From leveraging satellite technology to new models for energy journalism, the idea is to spotlight topics you may not have encountered and spark new ideas as a result.

CONNECTION

Taking place in front of a smaller live audience means you can expect to meet other sustainable energy enthusiasts and find out about other projects, beyond those featured on the programme. They are a great complement to the Energy Fair at the Networking Village, and the ideal moment to extend your network among others who are making a difference.
