The European Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) 2026 is officially open for registrations and the programme is now live! This year, we are celebrating a new milestone: for 20 years, EUSEW has been the place where Europe’s energy future took shape. Twenty years of ideas, debates, policies, and partnerships that have guided Europe through evolving energy challenges.

From 9 to 11 June, join policymakers, innovators, researchers, civil society and young energy professionals in Brussels or online for three days of insightful sessions, inspiring stories and discussions, and hands-on learning with plenty of networking opportunities.

This year’s edition is not just another event. And if there was ever a year to be part of it, this is the one. This is your moment to plan your week, explore the sessions, connect and show up ready.

20 years later: where have we been and where are we going?

This special edition of EUSEW will be a moment to look back and more importantly, to look ahead. One of the standout moments of EUSEW 2026 will take place on 9 June, when former European Commissioners Andris Piebalgs, Günther Oettinger, Miguel Arias Cañete, and Kadri Simson, alongside Commissioner Dan Jørgensen, will reflect together on how priorities have shifted over time and what lies ahead in a world that is ever changing and evolving. This session will bring those perspectives together in one conversation and set the tone for the days that follow.

Plan your EUSEW week like a pro

What makes EUSEW different is how its programme is created. Every year, it is co-created through an open call, bringing together voices from across the clean energy ecosystem. This year’s programme reflects the realities and challenges happening on the ground across Europe. At its core is the Policy Conference, the central hub and beating heart of EUSEW.

Over three days, from Tuesday to Thursday, 9-11 June, it will host 50 sessions, exploring a wide range of topics and solutions, encouraging debate on clean, secure and efficient energy, with a focus on new policy developments, best practices and innovative sustainable energy ideas, in a hybrid format, both onsite in Brussels at the European Commission’s Charlemagne building and the NH Brussels EU Berlaymont hotel, and online, making it accessible wherever you are.

With many sessions and hundreds of speakers covering several topics from energy efficiency to affordability and competitiveness, a little planning goes a long way. Our interactive online platform is your best friend:

  • Browse sessions and bookmark the ones you cannot miss;
  • Build your agenda, day by day, so you do not miss your favourite panels; and
  • Explore speaker profiles and plan meetings with participants whose work aligns with yours or who inspire you.

Be prepared. Because once you are there, between sessions, conversations and unexpected encounters, things tend to move quickly, in the best possible way.

Sessions you would not want to miss

The EUSEW 2026 programme is officially live and you can dive in yourself to explore all the sessions and activities. There is something for everyone. But if you want a quick taste of what is in store, here is a sneak peek at some of the confirmed sessions already:

  • Day 1 - 9 June

The first day will open with the EUSEW Awards ceremony on 9 June, recognising outstanding individuals and projects across Local Energy Action, Women in Energy and, for the first time, SMEs Driving Energy Efficiency.

From there, continue your experience with ‘Key lessons from the Social Climate Plans on targeting vulnerable households’ to take a closer look at how EU funding can reach those who need it most. In the late afternoon, during ‘Marrying EU AI and cloud ambitions with the energy transition: scaling digital infrastructure sustainably’, experts will discuss how the EU’s plan to triple data centre capacity can be achieved in a sustainable way.

  • Day 2 - 10 June

On the second day, the session ‘Big, simple, attractive: how energy efficiency contributes to a clean, secure and competitive Union’, will provide key figures and practical examples to support evidence-based discussions on the post-2030 energy efficiency framework. In the afternoon, ‘Affordable energy efficient housing: past, present and future’ will examine how EU housing and building policies have evolved over the past 25 years, and explore the pathways to deliver affordable, low-carbon homes for all by 2050.

  • Day 3 - 11 June

The final day puts youth and SMEs in the spotlight. The morning session with our Young Energy Ambassadors, ‘Energy communities need you(th)’, will highlight case studies and innovative approaches from Italy, Spain, Greece, and the EU level, focusing on how young people can be more actively engaged in energy communities. Later, ‘Making SMEs part of the energy transition: how to ensure fair taxation electricity?’ will explore ways to bring small and medium-sized businesses into the industrial transition, addressing the unique challenges they face in decarbonising their operations.

Curious to see more? This is just a small glimpse of the programme. There are dozens of sessions and hundreds of speakers to discover. We strongly encourage you to do so.
