Cédric Lombaerts

Responsibilities

Cédric is an attaché working on EU energy and transport policy at the Belgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He holds an MA in International Relations and Diplomacy from the College of Europe and a Master of Laws in Public, European, and International Law from the University of Antwerp. In 2022, he pursued a specialisation course on hydrogen at the Flemish hydrogen network, WaterstofNet.

Responsibilities

Raphaela, a PhD student at the Wegener Center for Climate and Global Change at University of Graz, is dedicated to researching decarbonisation strategies for hard-to-abate industry sectors and passenger transport. She applies quantitative economic methods and engages with stakeholders to develop effective solutions.

Mariia Melnyk

Mariia works as a gas analyst at the French Energy Regulatory Commission and as a consultant for the World Bank, with prior experience at the OECD in Paris. She holds a Master's degree in International Energy from Sciences Po in Paris and a Master's degree in International Economics from Kyiv National Economic University.

Izidor is an enthusiastic and publicly engaged economist with vast interdisciplinary knowledge. He combines his formal work as an analyst and policy expert at GEN-I, one of Slovenian most propulsive energy firms, with being a member of Youth for Climate Justice, a movement striving for progressive people- and nature-oriented climate measures.

Alejandro Quecedo del Val

Responsibilities

Alejandro began his journey as an ecosocial activist at the SEO/Birdlife Youth Board in 2017. He has represented Spanish youth at various climate summits. He is collaborating with UNESCO to develop YoU-CAN, the global network of youth for climate action. His experience and critical perspective is explained in his book ‘Gritar lo que está callado’ (De Conatus).

Cosima Sagmeister

Responsibilities

Cosima is an MSc student in Energy Economics and Policy at Sciences Po Paris and King’s College London. Her interests and experience in the energy sector focus on energy market design and hydrogen policy. Cosima also co-leads the events team of Women in Green Hydrogen, where she promotes the vision of a diverse and equal energy transition.

Margarita is the founder of Margreen & Behind the Greens Media, having worked as a content creator and educator for over 14 years. With her content, she aims to put into the spotlight environmental solutions and technological advancements while inspiring those on the frontline of changing our planet and environment for the better. She uses photo, video, storytelling, and presentation skills to focus not on the problems but the solutions that are already available.

Dimitris Symeonidis

Responsibilities

Dimitris Symeonidis is an energy policy visionary and geopolitical risk advisor, with a track record of working with stakeholders spanning the public, private and third sectors. He is the founder of the Decentralized Solutions Global Network, where he is working with local authorities and civil society in the Global South to develop functioning business models with high societal value for local energy and food production. He is also a project expert for CERTH, working on an efficient, sustainable and inclusive deployment of the hydrogen economy in the EU. Finally, he is policy lead at YES-Europe, mobilising youth in Europe and beyond in becoming leaders in the energy transition.

Neel Tamhane

Responsibilities

Neel is a seasoned innovator who has led many energy transition portfolios towards enabling decentralised ownership and building a bottom-up prosumer-led future for energy. He has previously worked in designing and deploying novel energy access solutions such as mini-grids and the world's first P2P energy trading platform in South Asia.

Léa Tatry

Léa is a researcher at VITO, the Flemish Institute for Technological Research, specialised in energy and climate modeling. With over six years of experience, she has been working with international power utilities, the WorldBank and the EU technical assistance facility to formulate evidence-based insights and translate quantitative information on energy systems into clear and compelling advice for decision-makers.
