Responsibilities
Parvathy Sobha is an Energy Systems Analyst specialising in sustainable energy transitions and climate policy. She holds a Master’s degree in Power Systems and is currently pursuing a PhD at Luleå University of Technology in Sweden. Her research focuses on developing energy system models to support national and subnational governments in aligning energy and climate targets with the Paris Agreement and the Sustainable Development Goals.
Before transitioning to academia, she worked with industry to support the achievement of climate and sustainability goals. She has also collaborated with non-governmental organisations and entities such as Student Energy, the Oxford Climate Society, Engineers Without Borders, Fridays for Future, and IEEE, contributing to advocacy, public engagement, and sustainability initiatives.
