Responsibilities
Deputy Mayor of Valencia City Council
Sergi Campillo is Deputy Mayor of Valencia City Council with a responsibility for urban ecology, as well as being an activist in the field of sexual, gender and family diversity and a member of several human rights and environmental entities. He has a background in science, having obtained a Doctorate in Biology with a European mention from the Universitat de València and carried out research at the Cavanilles Institute for Biodiversity and Evolutionary Biology (UV) and at the University of Hull (United Kingdom). He has worked for Superior Center for Research in Public Health (CSISP, Regional Government of Valencia) and a technology-based microenterprise (Metis Biomaterials), and since 2011 has held various political office within the Valencia City Council.
