Hosted by Breakthrough Energy, this session aims to promote mutual learning between Europe and the US in scaling up carbon removal activities. It will cover topics such as the benefits of the 45Q tax credit for businesses investing in carbon removal technologies, the EU's CDR quantification and methodology approach as well as national efforts to incentivize CDR. By sharing their respective experiences and best practices, both Europe and the US can learn from each other to advance their efforts in carbon removal activities.
