Tallinn European Green Capital 2023
On June 15, The Estonian Union of Apartment Associations organizes an Energy Day, which includes a study visit to the Tallinn Recycling Center in Jõelähtme municipality in Harju County.
During the course, the participants will get acquainted with
- waste reuse (for fuels, alternative energy etc);
- recycling (composting of bio-waste, which produces certified compost);
- waste sorting (separation of metal, wood, plastic waste, electronic waste, and hazardous waste from construction and demolition waste);
- evaluation of lthe andfill suitability of the waste to be deposited.
The event is part of the Tallinn European Green Capital 2023 information and engagement program "Environmentally Smart Apartment Association" which aims to encourage citizens to adopt more environmentally friendly habits.
The bus leaves from Tallinn city centre.
