Collect vegetable oil to save the sea and produce clean energy

The Forum takes place at the municipal headquarters of the City of Chioggia, the sixth city in the Veneto by number of inhabitants and an important commercial and fishing port, as well as a seaside city with millions of tourist presences every year. An ideal city to implement a policy of responsibility towards the collection of exhausted vegetable and animal oils and fats, produced both by the resident population and by restaurants and hotels.

During the Forum, the representatives of the City of Chioggia, of the CONOE Consortium for the collection and treatment of exhausted vegetable and animal oils and fats and of the public multi-service environmental company Veritas s.p.a. will illustrate the advantages of collecting this waste for the environment and the sea, highlighting the possibilities of reusing it for the production of clean energy and reducing the need to import raw materials from abroad for energy production.
