Digitization of the energy sector

The growing use of non-programmable renewable sources, functional to the pursuit of the European political initiatives of the Green Deal, determines a fluctuation in electricity generation which can create a significant imbalance between energy supply and demand. Indeed it is fundamental that the integration of new shares of renewables takes place guaranteeing the full functionality of the energy system, which will have to become increasingly intelligent, flexible and interactive.
 

Malgorzata Gawronska (Renewable Energy Platform of Sardegna Ricerche) will lead the meeting and open it with a speech on the Digitalising the energy system - EU action plan.

Mattia Repossi and Lorenzo Farina (Senior Project Manager and Project Engineer of STAM S.r.l.) will follow with their two speeches about the opportunities for the energy system by digital solutions. They will also go into detail of digital applications for energy efficiency, which employ data-driven modeling of energy systems, enabling technologies such as the IoT, the Cloud and AI and, at the same time, such as BIM and other standards for interoperability by design.
 

The meeting will take place at the headquarter of Sardegna Ricerche of the Z.I. Macchiareddu. It will be alo available in streaming through Zoom application.
