The "Energy Transition" that starts from the bottom: Energy Communities and Active Citizenship

The event, pursuing dissemination purposes, is focused on the ideas that young researchers want to present with a view to a sustainable energy future.

The discussion focuses on the emerging theme of energy communities, whose legal, technical and sociological profiles will be deepened, without neglecting the first experiences in the field, which took place in Calabria. The aim is to highlight how energy communities offer new development opportunities to the local area and play a fundamental role in the fight against climate change.

The union between energy communities and active citizenship is particularly close: only by starting from the bottom and actively involving citizens, can that process of energy transition towards the long-awaited sustainable development take place in practice.
