Description
The worldwide energy crisis has not only exposed the globe’s dependency on fossil fuels, but also it has underlined the importance of energy efficiency. In light of such information, the EVIDENT consortium aims to instigate a discussion about the energy consumption in households and to contribute to the ongoing discourse regarding the impact of behavioural interventions in energy efficiency. Towards this end, the event organized by the EVIDENT is twofold: for the first half, the consortium will present the premises and prospects of the project. We will discuss the experiments organised and the results we have obtained till so far. We will also demonstrate the serious game which is developed throughout the project and we will share our insights for behavioral energy interventions. For the second half of the event, we aim to promote a dialogue that considers energy consumption and policy measures. Under this premise, we will host discussions with sister projects (NUDGE), with the project evaluator and with professionals external to the EVIDENT consortium. Further, we will accommodate speakers that participated in the Film4Energy Challenge, namely teachers, who are eligible to provide insights on how young people realize the energy efficiency concept and will elaborate on best teaching practices towards a more sustainable energy ecosystem.
