Description

Introduction
The event proposed by CLANER in consortium with FAMSI (Andalusian Fund of Municipalities for International Solidarity) and ANMAR (Federation of Local Communities of Northern Morocco and Andalusia), within the framework of the project "MOVE GREEN_(E)Co-development for innovation and employment in the green and circular economy sector between Andalusia and Morocco" (ICMPD / 2021 / MPF-357-007) is the opening day of the introductory training course on Renewable Energies and Sustainability, funcioning as preparation for the stay in Spain of 25 students to complete a Postgraduate Degree in Renewable Energies and Sustainability in Andalusia. This prior training is to be held from June 19th to August 9th, 2023.
This opening day is the first step of the 2nd edition of the training developed within the framework of MOVE GREEN project and will take place in Tanger on June 19th. .
Objective
This training is part of the project "MOVE GREEN_(E)Co-development for innovation and employment in the green economy and circular sector between Andalusia and Morocco" (ICMPD / 2021 / MPF-357-007) co-financed by the European Union through the Mobility Partnerships Support Instrument (MPF), which is managed by the International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD). The project is implemented by a consortium led by the FAMSI, together with CLANER and the Federation AN MAR.
The main goal of “MOVE GREEN_(E) Codevelopment for the innovation and employability in the green and circular economy between Andalusia and Morocco”, is to promote the employability and business capacity of young people in Morocco in the green, circular and renewable economy through a training programme, and thereby contribute to talent retention of and employment generation and entrepreneurship opportunities for young Moroccan people in their country of origin.
Furthermore, the project aims to strengthen alliances between public and private institutions committed to the promotion of a green economy, linking circular migration and codevelopment processes with encouraging a sustainable economy.
How do MOVEGREEN relate, this day and the EU´s energy and climate goals?
The training of a skilled workforce in the renewable, green, and circular economy is a direct leveraging mechanism for the development of opportunities in the field of energy efficiency and renewable energy, keys for “Objective 55” of the European Union.
Moreover, the EU is fighting against carbon leakage, linked to the offshoring of greenhouse gas emission-intensive industries, which choose to relocate to territories with different regulations.
Through the promotion of entrepreneurship and employability in the green, circular, and renewable economy in countries like Morocco, The EU and its partners are drawing up a way to prevent the delocalization of these industries due to regulation criteria, instead basing the attractiveness of these locations on the low price of green energy.
Organization and contents of the day
This Opening Day will begin with the presentation of the training for this second edition, within the framework of the MOVE GREEN project and the objectives and contents of the European Sustainable Energy Week 2023 (EUSEW).
In addition, the first lecture will be held on the situation and prospects of the green, circular and renewable economy in Europe, Spain and Morocco in the context of combating and adapting to climate change, a challenge that the European Union intends to lead the fight against and for which it has its key partners, such as the Kingdom of Morocco. The second paper will discuss the foundations of the training course with an introduction to renewable energy and sustainability.
To close the day, the training programme will be presented, leaving a space for questions and facilitating an open dialogue among all those attending the event.
Profile of the assistant students
The profile of the beneficiaries of the training is graduate or vocational with a previous experience in disciplines associated with renewable energies (BAC+3 and BAC+5). The day is aimed at 25 students.
