PAESC and Energy Citizenship: awareness raising and workshops for climate change and energy transition.

The 12 Municipalities of the Union of Grecia Salentina intend to make citizens and stakeholders aware of the important objectives which are the basis of the actions envisaged by the newly signed SECAP.

The recent energy crisis and the ongoing drought have heightened the sensitivity of citizens on these issues, the Energy Day program aims to:

− raise awareness of the SECAP and its actions;

− lay the foundations, through specific technical laboratories, for the creation of a continuous activity over time, aimed at supporting the actions for the development of a "Proactive Community for climate change and energy transition".

The event is divided into two meetings: the first in the morning with the participatory urban laboratories, the second in the afternoon of an institutional nature, during which the results of the ADRIA - Alliance project and the area SECAP of the Municipalities that are part of the Union of Salento Greece.

The Participatory Workshops will be developed in two moments, the first dedicated to pupils of the schools of the Union with the aim of raising awareness among future citizens in relation to the ecological transition. This will be followed by a workshop with stakeholders, held by experts in the fields and aimed at establishing the first nucleus of the "Proactive community for climate change and energy transition".
