Day 3 of the European Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) 2022 looks into concrete initiatives helping Europe transition to a greater balance of renewable energy sources while making significant energy savings across the continent. Today’s keynotes and sessions will spotlight the policy actions and next steps promoting energy efficiency and renewables that are pivotal to achieving the goals of the REPowerEU and Fit for 55 initiatives.
On the agenda today
- REPower the EU: mobilising investments and citizen empowerment: spotlight on the role of energy efficiency in achieving the goals of the REPowerEU plan
- Energy System Efficiency for a cost-effective decarbonisation and energy resilience: concrete examples of how phasing out fossil fuels and boosting energy security can go hand-in-hand with an increase in energy efficiency
- Shaping the solar terawatt age: implementing the EU solar strategy: exploring solar’s central role in the EU’s energy transition, and the hurdles that must be overcome to make it a reality
- Making the European battery value chain future-proof by investing in people, skills and innovationinsights into how the transport and energy sectors are being transformed by the European battery ecosystem
