European Sustainable Energy Week

About the Sustainable Energy Week

The European Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) is the biggest annual event dedicated to renewables and efficient energy use in Europe and comprises a series of activities aimed at building a secure and clean energy future for Europe.

It brings together public authorities, private companies, NGOs, EU project partners, researchers and consumers to promote initiatives driving Europe’s energy transition through net-zero competitiveness.

Launched in 2007 by the European Commission, EUSEW is organised by the European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA), in close cooperation with Directorate-General for Energy.

WHERE YOU FIT IN…

Everyone brings something different to EUSEW. It is an ideal platform for sharing ideas and expertise, and forging alliances to bring about a green energy transition. This year, in the context of the REPowerEU plan to increase Europe’s energy independence, you can address issues such as:

  • Net-zero technologies (e.g. net-zero technologies and solutions, raw materials, competitiveness, SMEs, etc.)

  • Cities and citizens (e.g. local leadership, SECAPs, energy affordability, inclusion, energy communities, behavioural changes, etc.)

  • Renewables (e.g. permitting, tendering, community participation, technologies, RES in transport, RES in industry, etc.)

  • Energy Efficiency (e.g. reduction of energy demand, energy performance of buildings, products, industry, transport, financing, heating and cooling, heat pumps, etc.)

  • International cooperation and decarbonisation (e.g. EU Green Deal measures, NECPs, ETS, COP29, etc.)
