Young Energy Ambassadors

Digitally engaged young people (from 18 to 34 years old, from the date EUSEW takes place), who are among Europe’s leading voices, passionate about building a sustainable, secure and clean energy future for Europe and the world. Young Energy Ambassadors are invited to help boost EUSEW’s messages within the youth energy community and among stakeholders, as well as advocate for this year’s theme ‘Net-zero energy solutions for a competitive Europe’. In return, young energy ambassadors benefit from the partnership and high-level visibility across official communication channels. Responsibilities

Martina has a European mindset cultivated through studies in multiple countries. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Economics from Erasmus University Rotterdam and a master’s degree in Environmental Economics from University of Copenhagen. Currently working at Energinet, Denmark’s Transmission System Operator for electricity and gas, as an International Economist, her impactful research on biomethane and hydrogen cost structures has influenced global stakeholders and spurred investments in renewable energy. Additionally, he coordinates various working groups in Gas Infrastructure Europe (GIE) and the European Network of Transmission System Operators for Gas (ENTSOG), addressing diverse European gas-related topics.

Responsibilities

Sotiris is a Project Manager for the implementation of the EuroAsia Interconnector, the longest and deepest underwater sea cable in the world. He holds a BSc in Engineering and an MSc in Management. He has previously worked at Tesla and has for the last 6 years has been involved in different electricity markets and regulatory environments pushing towards the transition to renewable energy.

Responsibilities

At the age of 23, Hanah is already active in politics and is a Member of the Parliament of Estonia, working in the environment committee. With her prior experience in the banking and real estate sectors, public policy and NGOs, she sees climate issues as her calling. Hanah has already started many political initiatives in her party to advance the sustainable thinking and to help politicians understand the importance of dealing with the climate crisis.

Kristina is an energy enthusiast with an MSc in Energy Management at the Head CEO Office at the National Electricity Company in Bulgaria. An active citizen at the EU-level, her commitment is reflected in her role as citizen juror for European Capital of Democracy, and her involvement with Innovation in Politics. An ardent supporter of women's empowerment, she is Alumna of Council of Women in Business in Bulgaria and Member of Global Women's Network for the Energy Transition.

As a young European, Noa Sara is passionate about promoting sustainable energy and addressing the climate crisis in an intersectional way. Through her studies and experiences, she developed a strong interest in the socioeconomic and environmental aspects of the energy transition. She believes in the importance of engaging with different stakeholders, sharing knowledge, and collaborating toward a carbon-neutral and resilient Europe.

Cédric is an attaché working on EU energy and transport policy at the Belgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He holds an MA in International Relations and Diplomacy from the College of Europe and a Master of Laws in Public, European, and International Law from the University of Antwerp. In 2022, he pursued a specialisation course on hydrogen at the Flemish hydrogen network, WaterstofNet.

Nelson, a Project Finance professional with an engineering background, he has more than 10 years of work experience in France, Portugal and the UK. His experience spans Civil Engineering, Project Development and Management, Financial Modelling, Financial Advisory, Asset Management, Infrastructure Debt Investments. He is a problem-solver focused on promoting sustainable development and contributing to social, economic and ecological transition. He is currently the Deputy CEO of Akuo Renováveis Portugal.

Raphaela, a PhD student at the Wegener Center for Climate and Global Change at University of Graz, is dedicated to researching decarbonisation strategies for hard-to-abate industry sectors and passenger transport. She applies quantitative economic methods and engages with stakeholders to develop effective solutions.

Mariia works as a gas analyst at the French Energy Regulatory Commission and as a consultant for the World Bank, with prior experience at the OECD in Paris. She holds a Master's degree in International Energy from Sciences Po in Paris and a Master's degree in International Economics from Kyiv National Economic University.

Clara is a multidisciplinary researcher and project leader specialising in bioenergy, with a focus on clean technologies and energy transition. She is experienced in R&D projects and industry-academy cooperation, optimising biofuel production. Clara is passionate about renewable solutions, sustainable growth, and the circular economy in energy generation. Currently, she is a postdoctoral researcher and sustainable energy systems laboratory manager leading projects on biochemical and thermochemical conversion technologies in Finland.
