Sustainable Energy Days are globally hosted events organised to raise awareness and promote action on clean energy, energy efficiency, and climate solutions. The title of a Sustainable Energy Day may be earned for any planned activity or event that focuses on awareness-raising around specific issues or discussions about a technology or policy. It may address a local community or even an entire region.
By hosting a Sustainable Energy Day, you can contribute to driving positive change in your community toward Europe’s energy transition while showcasing your commitment to a sustainable future.
The Sustainable Energy Days will take place between March and June 2025, exploring a variety of topics in sessions of different formats and durations. Past events have been hosted in many countries across the EU and around the world.
These events can take many forms and be held in a wide variety of locations, such as public or private buildings, outdoor spaces, academic institutions, and more.
These events may include activities such as workshops, panel discussions, exhibitions, presentations, interactive experiences, or art-based interventions that explore current energy topics. They are designed to bring people from a certain community together to explore and implement sustainable energy solutions.
Submit your activity or event to be featured under the Sustainable Energy Days umbrella. Benefit from the EUSEW branding and promotional materials, and join thousands of active EUSEW community members.
You can also submit a proposal to host a policy session, apply or nominate an outstanding individual or project at the EUSEW Awards, or apply to be a Young Energy Ambassador.
Mark your calendar for the upcoming calls by checking out the Info Session page where you can find the timeline, Info Session recording, PowerPoint presentation with the main deadlines and considerations, as well as the Q&A document.
The title of a Sustainable Energy Day comes with prestige and visibility. The events take place in the run-up to EUSEW 2025, which means that your event has higher chances of being seen due to its EUSEW branding, as we are campaigning on social media and in traditional media.
All Sustainable Energy Days are featured on the EUSEW website and through an interactive map, which will be continuously promoted throughout March–June 2025. Ready-made, customisable templates are provided to all hosts as part of the toolkit available for EUSEW partners.
Affiliation with the European Sustainable Energy Week also brings several benefits to the local community hosting the events. It may help strengthen European identity, highlighting its contributions to the EU's wider energy transition goals.
If your event promotes local sustainability initiatives, tapping into the EUSEW promotional infrastructure and its wide community may help attract attention and even investment. Ultimately, hosting a Sustainable Energy Day is meant to strengthen community engagement, bring together local stakeholders, and empower communities with practical knowledge, enabling them to lower energy costs and improve quality of life.
