DISCOVER THE AWARD CATEGORIES

The European Sustainable Energy Awards recognise outstanding individuals and projects for their innovation and efforts in the field of energy efficiency and renewables.

WHAT?

The European Sustainable Energy Awards recognise outstanding individuals and projects for their innovation and efforts in energy efficiency and renewables. Finalists have been chosen by a high-level jury from a shortlist of the year’s most successful projects and actions for clean, secure and efficient energy. The winners are decided by an online public vote in four award categories: Innovation, Local Energy Action, Woman in Energy and Young Energy Trailblazer

WHEN AND WHERE?

The deadline for the public awards voting has now passed, and it is no longer possible to submit your vote.

EUSEW 2022 Awards winners were announced on Monday 26 September during the EUSEW Awards Ceremony.

WHO?

Anyone in the EU could submit a recent project – from a local initiative to an industry-wide programme – or a profile of a person that is helping the citizens, industry and public sector work towards achieving the EU Green Deal objectives.

The Awards competition highlights new ways to shape Europe’s energy future and will culminate with the Awards ceremony at the Policy Conference.

WHY?

If you are contributing to clean, secure and efficient energy, then, the European Sustainable Energy Week is for you. In the context of the REPowerEU plan to accelerate the clean energy transition and increase Europe’s energy independence, it is an opportunity to meet stakeholders promoting energy efficiency and renewable energies, learn about successful policies, and inspire innovation towards meeting the EU’s energy and climate goals.

Along with being considered best-in-class for their contribution to a sustainable energy future, winners and finalists can expect to receive added visibility for their work. A professional film crew visit the finalists to create a promotional video of their work, and their profiles are promoted on the EUSEW communication channels during the public vote, as well as being included in a press package sent to pan-EU and local media outlets.
