About the dedicated programme for youth

The European Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) is committed to involving the younger generation in discussions on clean energy. Since 2020, the European Youth Energy Day has been organised as part of EUSEW Policy Conference, to give young participants (aged 18-34) the opportunity to get involved in debates on Europe’s sustainable energy transition.

The call to apply to be a Young Energy Ambassador opens on 28 January 2025.

YOUNG ENERGY AMBASSADORS

Launched in 2023, the Young Energy Ambassadors programme is open to all ambitious young professionals working in the energy sector in Europe. The programme aims to gather 30 profiles and involve them in outreach activities during and after EUSEW, for a total of one year mandate.

Meet our Young Energy Ambassadors.

The 2024 cohort of Young Energy Ambassadors, representing 22 nationalities, took center stage at EUSEW's European Youth Energy Day. This youth-led event featured intergenerational dialogues, collaborative sessions to shape clean energy recommendations, and a discussion with Executive Vice-President Maroš Šefčovič.

The first cohort of the Young Energy Ambassadors actively contributed to discussions on climate and energy targets, engaged with European Commission experts, and participated in collaborative workshops to develop innovative policy solutions. Their presence in Brussels elevated the role of youth voices in the energy transition dialogue.
