The European Sustainable Energy Awards recognise outstanding individuals, innovations, and achievements in renewable energy and energy efficiency across Europe, promoting best practices and raising awareness of clean energy solutions and projects that advance Europe’s decarbonisation.
The Awards competition highlights new and innovative ways to shape Europe’s energy future and culminates with the Awards ceremony at the Policy Conference.
The EUSEW Awards allow applications or nominations in three categories:
- SMEs Driving Energy Efficiency: honouring Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) that have developed and deployed innovative business or financing models to advance energy efficiency solutions, notably in buildings and industry.
- Local Energy Action: showcasing grassroots solutions for a clean energy future.
- Women in Energy: recognising women making an exceptional impact in the energy sector.
Finalists are selected by a high-level jury, and winners are decided by a public vote in the three categories.
The EUSEW Awards ceremony will be held during the EUSEW Policy Conference in Brussels. You can find inspiration for your application or nomination by exploring our winners from the previous editions.
Anyone based in the EU can submit a recent project that is helping citizens, industry, or the public sector work towards achieving the EU’s Clean Industrial Deal objectives. This includes:
- SMEs that are pioneering new approaches to make energy upgrades more accessible, affordable and scalable.
- Local initiatives and projects advancing EU’s Clean Industrial Deal objectives.
- Women driving progress in the clean energy transition.
Everyone is encouraged to participate in the online public vote once the finalists are announced.
Winners and finalists of the EUSEW Awards benefit from significant visibility support:
- A high-quality video produced by our professional crew, promoted through EUSEW’s own and partner channels.
- A press package, including a feature story, distributed to pan-European and local media outlets.
- Attendance at the Awards ceremony in Brussels.
Finally, winning an EUSEW Award can create new opportunities within the clean energy sector. The EUSEW Policy Conference brings together thousands of professionals interested in the Clean Industrial Deal and the role of EU energy policy in advancing a clean, competitive, and just transition.
