WHAT?

The European Sustainable Energy Awards recognise outstanding individuals and projects for driving forward Europe’s decarbonisation.

Finalists are selected by our high-level jury and the winners are decided by a public vote in three categories:

WHEN AND WHERE?

Winners are announced during the EUSEW Awards Ceremony in June 2024.

WHO?

Anyone in the EU can submit a recent project – from a local initiative to an industry-wide programme – or a profile of a person that is helping the citizens, industry and public sector work towards achieving the EU Green Deal objectives.

Everyone is welcome to have a say during the online public vote.

The Awards competition highlights new ways to shape Europe’s energy future and culminates with the Awards Ceremony at the Policy Conference.

WHY?

If you are contributing to net-zero solutions, then the European Sustainable Energy Week is for you. In the context of the REPowerEU plan to accelerate the clean energy transition and increase Europe’s energy independence, the annual event is an opportunity to meet stakeholders promoting energy efficiency and renewable energies, learn about successful policies, and inspire innovation towards meeting the EU’s energy and climate goals.

Along with being considered best-in-class for their contribution to a sustainable energy future, winners and finalists receive added visibility for their work. A professional film crew visits the finalists to create a promotional video of their work, and their profiles are promoted on the EUSEW communication channels, as well as being included in a press package sent to pan-EU and local media outlets.
