Description
Regions, and regional organic innovation ecosystems, are critical for the success of European Hydrogen agenda. This event aims at bringing together the regional and industrial actors for a dialog towards enhanced cooperation, synchronized action and synergic projects.
This challenge is tackled by bringing together European regions to engage in dialogue, align roadmaps, policies and European strategies, as well as promote collaboration to advance European Hydrogen agenda, for smarter future, ultimately rolling-out a Hydrogen Society. Inspiration might be emerged from both, the innovative approaches to respond to the urgent need of transition and growing levels of cooperation across borders, sectors, regions and state.
Regions and territories face a number of specific challenges, particularly on the field of clean energy, mobility, climate and naturalization. The event intends to align local and regional roadmaps and policies with European strategies for sustainable energy and hydrogen, thus attracting innovation, investment and capacity building for these sectors.
The session aims to address the challenge of fragmented efforts and promote synchronized action for the successful implementation of sustainable energy and hydrogen initiatives. Proposed session will be held as standard policy session with 5 speakers and total duration of a 90 minutes, including debate and Q&A session. This session and overall conference is an opportunity to meet stakeholders promoting energy efficiency and renewable energies, learn about successful actions and policies, and inspire innovation towards meeting the EU’s energy and climate goals.
This policy session is addressed for cities, regions, hydrogen clusters and valleys, investors, industry, energy and other stakeholders interested in developing partnerships, that are invited to participate and join in Brussels for an interactive discussion. Participants will have a chance to debate with industry leaders and top policymakers the future of Europe’s energy system.
The event will include the debate with invited speakers and key note speakers from the EU Commission, as well as the Q&A panel. During this session, speakers will be invited to showcase their projects and explain the plans for more ‘positive’ cities and regions in Europe and the need of developing a clean hydrogen vision that constitutes the roadmap for upscaling solutions in the long term.
The session aims at providing new solutions and fresh perspectives that can facilitate the achievement of climate neutrality. In nowadays world, hydrogen is a bridge to a greener future and has a key role to play in accelerating this change and achieving carbon neutrality. This session will combine inspirational contributions from out-of-the-box thinkers, including the high-level policy makers, industry representatives, local and regional authorities and other stakeholders.
The content and programme fit with the EU sustainable energy policy agenda as the event is dedicated to renewable and efficient energy use in Europe and brings together policy makers & energy to debate on sustainable energy, new policy developments and ideas supporting the EU transition towards an energy-efficient, renewable energy-based, climate-neutral, competitive and resilient economy.
Speakers will present the content focusing on cities and regions’ hydrogen vision and goals for 2030, 2050 and sustainable energy. In order to guarantee effective interaction with the audience, firstly, we will use poll warm-up questions to “break the ice” to engage with the participants and generate a lively co-creation dialog. The speakers will use interactive cloud-based presentation tool that allows to create highly visual presentations to engage viewers. After welcome address and introduction done by moderator, speakers will take a floor, presenting their perspective and visons for hydrogen regions and society. MIRO app could be used in order to gather the ideas from the audience to the questions that presenters will ask during the debate.
At the end, there will be Q&A session where participants will be able to comment, share views and ask questions. In order to enhance visibility and attract interested participants, MedioTejo 21 and IrRADIARE, the two organizers, will employ various channels such as their websites, social media platforms, and direct engagement with stakeholders to promote the event.
