Responsibilities
Alexandru is a member of the Energy Transition Researcher Centre within the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca. He is also CEO of Renergia, the first sustainability app developed in Romania that helps people reduce their energy bills and save the planet. He was invited to COP28 UAE by IRENA to pitch Renergia and was also a member of the Romanian delegation. Alexandru is involved in the energy transition process in multiple capacities: researcher, trainer, entrepreneur in the field of clean transition promoting energy culture among households, and energy manager for public authorities overseeing a Romanian city with 20,000 inhabitants. The experience gained through the work performed in the three roles is shared with students from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, where Alexandru is an associate professor.
