Description
The agricultural sector is heavily responsible for electricity and heat consumption, the use of fossil fuels for energy production and GHG emissions. As members of the Alliance for Renewable Energy in Agriculture and Zero Fossil Energy – AREA ZERO, three EU-funded projects will organise the online event to present to the audience that besides factories and transportation, the future contribution to improving the energy efficiency of industries lies in the agricultural sector.
The event will also present each project’s approaches and research on innovative and more efficient ways to decarbonise and defossilise the agricultural sector.
The event will be a webinar organised by the EU-funded projects, members of the AREA ZERO cluster. In the 1st part, the 3 ongoing projects will present their results in activities for the decarbonisation of the agricultural sector. Then, the panel discussion will take place on the social aspects and overall social acceptance of the developed technologies.
During the event, the audience will be encouraged to actively participate – answering short questions and asking questions via Slido. After the discussion panel, 3 new EU projects will be presented as the new members of the cluster.
The event is primarily aimed at policymakers of the EU and researchers in the field of new technologies for the agricultural sector, however, all interested people are invited, such as professionals in the field, farmers and the general public.
