Description
Solar-to-X technologies: scaling to demo cases. Progresses toward a distributed, resilient and carbon-neutral society
The event will be a showcase given by various clustered EU-funded projects to show the progress towards the application of solar-to-X technologies and their crucial role in a resilient and carbon-neutral society. Solar-to-X indicates that next-generation catalytic technologies use solar energy directly to make chemicals and fuels, not passing through the formation of the H2 molecule. They are designed to overcome the main critical issues of PtX (Power-to-X) technologies. Their artificial tree design will make them crucial factors for changing production to a distributed model based on integrated chemical and energy communities.
The event joins various EU-funded projects in the area to demonstrate the fast progress and how these technologies will be a crucial factor in redesigning a sustainable future and society. The event will be hybrid, in person but with the possibility of remote connections and presentations. It is dedicated to stakeholders and companies but also aims to raise awareness and inform anyone interested in the energy transition and in understanding how this area could revolutionise the future of society. It will include an open discussion with the opportunity for all participants to ask questions.
