Description

This workshop is a part of the CROWDTHERMAL project (www.crowdthermalproject.eu). The project aims to empower the European public to directly participate in the development of geothermal projects with the help of alternative financing schemes (crowdfunding) and social engagement tools.
The project partners have investigated the concept of a social licence to operate, created a framework for public engagement in geothermal projects through crowdfunding, and developed a risk mitigation scheme for deep geothermal projects.
This CROWDTHERMAL workshop will place a focus on stakeholder engagement and a social license to operate for geothermal projects in order to tackle one of the persistent non-technical barriers in the deployment of geothermal energy.
