Energy efficiency and smart buildings by EU PropTech Association

We will talk about the latest market updates and investment numbers/trends for Property technology and Construction technology, which are the main drivers of innovation that fuel the exponential growth of energy efficiency in buildings.

We will demonstrate brand new technologies that have an immediate impact on energy management in buildings (renovation) and new construction.

PropTech and Contech being part of Climate and Urban Tech in Europe, we will look at the growth of these markets, the investment volumes and the technological trends. Europe boasts a very rich PropTech ecosystem with unique programs such as the “Space for Green Construction” by European Space Agency and European PropTech Association.

We will talk about technical, financial, investments and technological solutions for the building shells and functions, specially of the Building Stock, to achieve energy efficiency of residential and non-residential buildings.

Then, we will touch the hot topic of “ESG is not Impact Investing” as a new focus of the EU and national investment institutions, which is having a major impact on how companies need to report on their energy efficiency in their buildings.

Finally, to boost this ecosystem of new technologies developed by -+ 3000 startups and scaleups in Europe, we will invite all participants to join the largest competition

in Europe for Proptech and Construction tech companies: the PropTech Startup and Scaleup Europe Awards 2023 (5^th Edition), promoted and supported by the European Commission, the President of the European Parliament, the President of the Committee of the Regions, the Vice-President of the Economic and Social Committee and several members from the European Parliament. The PropTech Startup and Scale-up Europe Awards competition is organized by the European PropTech Association and Finnova EU Foundation. This reference competition, the largest in the industry, gives visibility and support to PropTech Startups/Scale-ups. More than 250 of the most important real estate and tech corporations of Europe are contributing to this pan-European competition.

We will end the session by explaining the methodology of the competition, the benefits for all participants and the opportunities they will have by presenting themselves to 70 professional judges from 27 countries.
