In line with the Global Goals blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all people and the world by 2030, Renewable Energy Society of India (RESI) is organizing a virtual International Conference of Peoples (CoP) on SDG 7: Affordable and Clean Energy to ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable, and modern energy for all the people of the India as well as the world.
Goal 7 of the SDGs aims to correct this enormous imbalance by ensuring everyone has access to affordable, reliable, and modern energy services by the year 2030. To expand energy access, it is crucial to enhance energy efficiency and to invest in renewable energy. Asia has been the driver of progress in this area, expanding access at twice the rate of demographic growth.
Keeping in view the importance and urgency of SGD7, the event is being organized by the RESI as a series of virtual sessions during this pandemic of COVID in the association of UNACCC, Board of Environmental Sustainability Trust (BEST), Indian Solar Power Association (ISPA), Assam Engineering College, and other partners from Government/Industries.
CoP on SDG7 is the flagship event of RESI & UNACCC. The objective is to bring together technology leaders, innovators, entrepreneurs & thought provokers passionate about addressing impactful problems by turning ideas into solutions to ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable, and modern energy for all the peoples of India as well as the world.
The speakers are invited from across globe from government organizations, industries & NGOs to share their views and future directions in their respective domains.
